Getting to Andermatt
Andermatt is in Canton Uri, on a plateau above the main Chiasso railway line between Zürich and Italy. You can take an express train from Zürich to Göschenen where you'll switch trains for the quick climb to Andermatt. Some trains continue beyond Andermatt to Brig, but you'll normally have several minutes to haul your belongings off at the Andermatt station. To check train schedule, use the Swiss Federal Railways journey planner www.sbb.ch or Matterhorn Gotthard. The Matterhorn Gotthard Railway station is located less than 600 meters from The River House Boutique Hotel. Once you come into Andermatt stay on the main road. You will find the River House Boutique Hotel just next to the town bridge in the center of Andermatt.
If you're driving, take the Autobahn toward the St. Gotthard Pass and Lugano. Leave the motorway at Göschenen/Andermatt (before the Gotthardtunnel!) and head uphill on the local road to Andermatt.
