The River House Boutique Hotel
It's just different…
…different from the rest. Exclusive. Extravagant. At River House, the inner values still matter. That's why our renovation retains the old materials, such as wooden paneling, ceiling beams and historic masonry. Combined with modern elements with high-quality design, the result was an extraordinary little gem.
The hotel is 250 years old and has lots of history in its luggage. In its new appearance, this jewel is located in the midst of the tiny village of Andermatt, right on the Reuss River, close to the Gotthard massif. It enchants its amazed guests with charm and hospitality.

Stiffness is a foreign word to us! We're young, relaxed and unconventional. We take an open and flexible approach to our guests. Our guests are the same way. And that's why they value our concept.
Here at the River House, the focus is on ecology – in all areas! The house was renovated with ecology in mind, from the basement to the roof, and equipped with natural materials such as wood, stone and Valser granite. The hotel is heated with geothermal energy, and our cuisine uses market-fresh, regional quality products. That's very important to us!

Our guests have six rooms and two suites to choose from. Style, comfort and the combination of history and the modern world give all of our rooms that certain something.
All of our rooms are individually appointed with a love for detail. Each room reflects a different topic typical to mountain life, spiced with influence from feng shui. Our rooms make do without TV sets, making room instead for personal calm, both within the rooms and throughout the hotel.

Parking
We have provide indoor and outdoor parking nearby. Parking fees are charged.
Rental and sale of sports equipment
"Carpe Diem," a sporting-goods store in the neighborhood, offers outdoor clothing, equipment and accessories by name-brand companies including Norona, Whiteout, Heidi, etc.
Snowlimit, the adresse for Snowboards und Mountainbikes. A really helpfull team will be able to guide you to the right choice to buy or rent Snowboards and Bikes for the summer time. For Bikes they offer the following brands, BMC, Rocky Mountain, Commençal, Price und Intense.
About a one-minute walk from the hotel is Sporthaus Meyer. There, beginners and advanced sports enthusiasts alike will find a wide selection of sporting goods for sale or rent.
